CLOSING AGENTS
This is the boring part of real estate, but it involves attorneys, so we'll give them their due. We have to be nice to these guys or they will “litigate” me.
Closing agents ensure that the transaction closes smoothly, they act as facilitators; in short they make sure all of our ducks are in a row.
They usually represent the Lender/Buyer in a transaction.
They can prepare basic Seller Docs BUT will not represent the Seller….it’s a No No.
They prepare documents related to the purchase and sale of real property.
They write title insurance policies guaranteeing you clear marketable title.In some cases, they hold escrow and good faith deposits.
In short they make sure all of our ducks are in a row, our T’s are crossed and our “eyes” are dotted!
