Stone floors are more common in Mediterranean and Vanaculars (fancy word for Key West style).

Vinyl was popular with the old Cuban set that used to thrive on 8th street, but have been pushed out by the Janitorial service industry (not as funny as intended, but if you grew up here you know what I mean).
