Want to save some cash on your Florida Plunder and Loot (aka Florida Power and Light) bill, install a timer on your water heater. Set it for when you bathe. Make sure you have GFCI outlets near areas where water is used; baths, kitchen and outdoors for example. Older homes may not have them. Get a licensed electrician to install them.

Set outdoor lights on timers and readjust them when power goes out.
